Code: N26745
An interesting, and very good quality, nineteenth century copper mould. This is a very unusual shape and it would probably have been used for baking a cake. It is beautifully engraved with the initials “A. B.D” beneath a crown. The style of the crown is possibly that of a Duke. The top of the mould is engraved with a single letter “U”. The mould is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1860. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
