Very large, English copper cake mould

A very large, 19th century, copper, cake or pudding mould. This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it has a central pipe within the mould. This allows the contents to cook from both the inside and the outside and removes the risk of the centre of the cake or pudding from being stodgy and undercooked. This is really important when using a mould of such a large size. The design has a rope twist top, with columns and swags to the sides.

Condition: Exterior excellent. The tinning to the interior is worn and flakey.
