Code: M25490
A nice quality, nineteenth century, French copper jelly mould. This has no manufacturers marks but it is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880.There is a steel hanging loop on the side and this is attached by a copper fitting which is typically French in shape and style. The design of the mould is very busy. It consists of ornate columns to the sides which culminate in stylised flower shaped tops around a pointed, shaped centre. The design would work equally well either sitting on a shelf or hanging on a wall as is it very attractive from all angles. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
