A 19th century copper charlotte mould engraved with the initials “N.R”. This is from the batterie de cuisine of Nathanial Rothschild and came from Rushbrooke Hall in Suffolk which was the Rothschilds’ residence for a short time. It is also stamped with the manufacturers mark “ J W & S. CRESCENT LONDON TRADEMARK”. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and has castellated seams. Date c.1860. In very good condition but with worn tinning.
