A nice quality, 19th century, oval copper, fancy border mould. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper. It is English and dates from c.1880. The design has wrythen fluted sides with overlapping circles to the top and this is known as a penny top. There are no manufacturers marks but it is stamped with a number ‘8’ to the rim. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
