A pink lustre, house pattern mug with a copper lustre band to the rim. This is English and it dates from c.1820. The “house pattern” is a generic term which was used to cover the range of pottery and porcelain which was hand painted, in pink lustre, with a variety of buildings. This example is naively decorated with a mansion, a cottage and a windmill. It is in excellent condition.
