A 19th century, pink lustre jug with black transfer prints. This shape of jug, and style of decoration, was produced by Davenport. Although this piece is not marked it is probably from the Davenport pottery. The shape is very elaborate, with shell moulding to the lower section, and it dates from c.1835. There are transfer prints showing ’SNIPE SHOOTING’ and ‘Coursing’ to the top section of the jug and then the whole piece is covered in a pink lustre, wash glaze. There are two very small sections, on the shell moulding, where the glaze has rubbed on the high points. Otherwise it is in very good condition.
Price includes postage within the U.K.  Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25.   Western Europe add £10.
