An early 19th century, pottery mug decorated with rural scenes and lustre glazes. This charming mug dates from c.1820. It is decorated with transfer prints which are then highlighted with polychrome enamels. To the rim is a band of pink and copper lustre and the foot and handle are coloured with a pink lustre glaze. The combination is very attractive and the piece is in good condition, although there is slight staining to the pot and wear to the lustre.
