Nice Quality, Sunderland Lustre Bowl

A good quality, 19th century, Sunderland Lustre bowl. This is potted in pearlware and it dates from c.1820. To the exterior is a black transfer print showing two men smoking and to the interior is a view of the Cast Iron Bridge and a further print of a ship. There are four different print with verses relating to sailors and these can all be seen in the various images. Most of the prints are enhanced with red, green and yellow enamels and they are all surrounded with pink splash lustre. There is one small chip to the foot rim but otherwise it is in very good condition with no restoration.
