Dimensions:
A Sunderland, pink lustre jug decorated with transfer prints of "Sailors Farewell" and a verse "The Sailors Tear". This is a good quality jug and the prints are coloured with bright enamels. There is a band of transfer printed flowers to the rim and this decoration was used by the Scott factory. It dates from c.1830. There is a feint hairline in the base and also a very tiny chip to the base of the handle. The prints and the lustre are all still very bright.
