A really good quality, Sunderland lustre jug. This has a really interesting print, under the spout, which is titled "Success to the Tars of Old England". The prints on the sides of the jug show views of the Iron Bridge at Sunderland and a verse "Here's to the wind that blows". Both the pink lustre and the enamel decoration is in really good, bright condition and the jug is in remarkably good, clean condition for a piece of this period, with no damage or restoration. There is just very minimal flaking to the green enamel.
