Unusual, 19th Century, Copper Lustre Jug

An unusual, early 19th century, documentary, copper lustre jug. This is quite large, measuring 7 1/2 inches high. It is decorated, to either side, with a good quality, black transfer print titled “The Topers” which shows men drinking outside an inn. Under the spout, in black enamel, is an inscription:

“Thos & Ann Morgan, 
In Friends we met 
In Love let’s part
Another Jug with
All my Heart.

It is not common to find a piece of copper lustre bearing such an early date. There is some professional restoration to the rim, which has been done well. Otherwise it is in good condition.
