An unusual, moulded pearlware jug with pink lustre and green enamel decoration. This is English and it dates from c.1830. The jug is moulded with horses to one side and cattle to the other and around the rim is a band of grapes and vines. The moulded decoration is highlighted with a pink lustre glaze and green and iron red enamels. There is slight flaking to the green enamel, slight wear to the pink lustre on the some of the high points and there is a star crack to the base but this doesn’t go through to the interior.
