An attractive, late 19th century steel game hanger. These were originally used for hanging game but are now more commonly used for hanging herbs, pans or kitchen utensils. This is a particularly ornate example, made from wrought iron, and it dates from c.1890. There is pitting to the steel which has now been black leaded to prevent rust. It is in very good condition and would be a super, decorative addition to any kitchen.
