An unusual, brass butter curler with a turned wooden handle.This would have been used for making the small, curls of butter which often accompany your toast or scones in a hotel or restaurant. Early examples are often carved from wood but it is not common to find one made from brass even though it is very practical. It is in excellent condition and it dates from c.1920.
