Peugeot Chopper

A two handled herb or vegetable chopper made by Peugeot. This piece is marked, to the centre of the blade, 'Peugeot Freres' to either side of a lion within a shield. To the end of the blade is a further mark which is engraved and this is just the 'Peugeot Freres' and a lion. The piece dates from the 1920's. The wooden handles are hinged so the chopper moves from side to side and is very effortless to use. There is wear to the varnish on the handles but other than that it is in very good condition and the blade is still very sharp.
