A nineteenth century, porcelain chocolate whisk with a turned wooden handle. The porcelain whisk is hand painted, in blue, in the Meissen style. It is marked with a painted number ’22’ and it dates from c.1890. The handle is turned from beechwood. This would have been used in a copper chocolate pot and was rolled between the hands, to whisk the hot chocolate. It is in good condition with just a little wear, to the wood and the high points of the porcelain, from use.
