A 19th century ceramic pudding boiler. This has a black transfer printed mark to the front which reads “THE QUEENS PUDDING BOILER CHALLIS No16 PATENT”. It dates from c.1880. Originally it would have had a tin lid which clipped over the top but this is now missing. It dates from c.1880. There is staining to the base, from use, and there is one very small, star crack in the side.
