An 18th century, Dutch Delft, tile painted, in blue with a figure in a landscape with a stipple border. This is a very unusual border to find on a Dutch tile. It was used by the Liverpool factory but, going by the size, this is definitely Dutch as the English tiles were usually 5 inch. It dates from c.1760.
There is very minor chipping to the rim, and slight crazing to the face of the tile, but otherwise it is in good condition.
Dimensions: 13cm. square.
