A lovely quality, three part pewter ice cream mould. This is marked, to the base, with a number ’18’ over ‘2’. It is English and dates from c.1870. Moulds of this shape and form were usually made from tin and it is unusual to find one made from pewter. It would turn out and oval block of ice cream with fluted sides and a group of fruits to the top. The design is very well detailed and the piece is in very good, usable condition.
