A three part, pewter ice cream mould. These are often referred to as banquet moulds or pillar moulds. This example has fluted sides and the fairly simple design to the top resembles a pumpkin or melon. It is English and dates from c.1870. There is a dent to the base but otherwise the mould is in good, usable condition. The interior is still in good, bright, usable condition and the exterior has quite a dark patina.
