A large, Victorian, three part, pewter banquet mould with a Prince of Wales feathers design to the top. This is an English mould and it dates from c.1870. It is marked, on the rim of the lid, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams. Alongside this it is marked with the capacity '2 PINT' and the pattern number 'No39'. The design, to the top of the mould, is very well detailed but there are a couple of very small holes from the casting. These are shallow, they do not go through, and they would not affect the usability of the mould. The sides of the mould are fluted. It is in very good condition. The exterior has a very dark patina and the interior is still in good, bright, usable condition.
