A set of six pewter ice cream moulds in the shape of spears of asparagus. Each one is marked 'L.G' in the casting to the exterior of the mould. This is the mark of the French company Letang and they date from c.1880. These moulds are all well made and very well detailed. They would have been used to produced a life sized bunch of asparagus, with each spear being moulded separately and then served individually. It is unusual to find a set still together. They are all in excellent condition. The exteriors have quite a light patina and the interiors are in very good, bright, usable condition.
