An unusual, small, French pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a waffle. This is marked, in the casting, “BREVETE S.G.D.G”. This was a French type of patent, an abbreviation of Brevete Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement. The mould is a design that we have not seen before and it dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition. The interior is in very good usable condition and the exterior has a dark patina.
