Collection of Nailsea glass rolling pins

Code: F19050

SOLD

An interesting collection of five,19th century, Nailsea glass rolling pins. The Nailsea glassworks produced some wonderful, distinctive, flowing designs in a variety of colours and these rolling pins are no exception. Each one is a different colour, shape and size but they are equally appealing and they are a tribute to the glass blowers skill. The factory closed in 1873  and these would all date between 1840 to 1870. They range in length from 32cm. to 40 cm. and they are all in excellent condition. Originally they were made for use and they are all hollow. They were filled with cold water, through a hole in the end, and this made the rolling out of the pastry much easier.
