A fine pair of nineteenth century crystal apothecary jars with the original cold painted and gilt labels. These are probably Italian and they date from c.1860. There were gilt lines to the bases and also to the lids but these are now quite worn although the labels are still in remarkably good condition. The jars are nicely shaped, whilst retaining a simple practicality, and the have attractive, multi ridged, flat topped finials to the lids. They are both in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 34.5cm. Diameter at base 16.5cm.
