A huge, 19th century, French crystal storage jar. This is made from a good quality, heavy crystal and it dates from c.1860. It is a fairly simple, straight sided form and the domed lid has a nicely shaped, flat topped finial. There is very slight bubbling and a swirling effect in the glass which is typical of the period. Both the jar and lid are in excellent condition.
