An extremely large, St Louis crystal wine or champagne cooler. This design, known as ‘Tommy’ was introduced by St. Louis in 1928 and has been one of their most popular designs ever since. This is unmarked, and it is one of the earlier shapes produced in the design, dating from c.1930. It is fabulous quality crystal, with a terrific ring, and is extremely heavy. The design consists of a diamond cut to the lower section with a long, elliptical cut to the centre, reaching to roundels around the rim.
This is a particularly large size and would easily hold two standard bottles or one of the larger sized champagne bottle.
It is in excellent condition.
