Small, French Copper Casserole

Small, French Copper Casserole

Code: H21346

SOLD

A small, 19th century, French copper, casserole. This is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has the typical French shape of brass handles to both sides of the pan and also to the lid and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. The exterior is in very good condition. The interior has recently been re-tinned but this has not been done well so it would not be suitable for cooking with. It could, however, make an attractive storage container, or small bread bin, for use in a kitchen.

Dimensions: Length 32.8cm. Width 18.8cm. Height 17.5cm.
