A nineteenth century, French copper lid with a steel handle. This is engraved with the letters “D T” which would be the initials of a previous owner, and the number ’16’ which relates to the size. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It is in very good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used in conjunction with one of the smaller pans listed on the website.
