A super quality, three part pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a pigeon. Although unmarked, this is probably French and it dates from c.1880. The three sections are held together by pinned hinges, making it very easy to release the ice cream from the mould. The interior is exceptionally well detailed and would turn out a very naturalistic form. The mould is in excellent condition. The interior is in very good, bright, usable condition and the exterior has quite a pale patina.
