A nineteenth century copper ring, or fancy border, mould. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper, it is French and dates from c.1880. It is stamped with the letters “H.S.” or “S.H”, depending on which way you look at it, a large letter “S” and the number “18”. The design consists of a rope twist top above fluted sides and the copper has a slightly planished finish. It is in excellent condition but tinning, to the interior, is worn.
