A nineteenth century, earthenware curd cheese mould. This is marked, to the base, with “No 49” over “7”. This form of mark was used by the Minton pottery. It is lightly potted, from quite a fine earthenware, and it dates from c.1820. It is a simple, three tiered form, with holes pierced in geometric designs. 

Condition: There are two chips to the exterior of the top, one quite large and the other smaller. There are also two small cracks to the rim.
