A miniature copper mould with a pear to the top. This is a very simple design with the fruit to the top and plain sides. It is French and it dates from c.1890. It is made from quite a light gauge of copper and, although the tinning to the interior is still good, the mould could not be used as there is a split around the bottom of the pear. This does not show in the images, as it is very tight, but it is there so now it is purely decorative. A hole has been drilled close to the rim of the mould and there is a trace of tin on the exterior of one of the leaves.
Dimensions: Length 7cm. Width 6cm. Depth 3.2cm.
