A very good quality, small sized, Victorian copper mould. This is quite an elaborate design with a fluted top, star shape to the shoulders and alternating rounded and angular columns to the sides. It is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. To the side it is stamped ’98’ over ‘C’ and this would be the pattern number. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn so it could not be used.
