A miniature, 19th century, copper mould with a dome top. This is stamped “JONES BROS DOWN ST.W.” in a circle beneath “LENT BY”. To the opposite side is the pattern number ’148’ and a letter ‘J’. Copperware that is stamped “LENT BY” was owner by the company and would have been either hired to a customer or loaned to the customer when their copper was being re-tinned. This example is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. It is in excellent condition and the tinning is still in very good, usable condition.
