A miniature copper mould with a cross to the top. This design was produced by Benhams, although this example is not marked, and was known as the ‘Alexandra Cross’. It was made in two different large sizes but the miniature is quite hard to find. This is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. There is very minor denting to two of the corners of the cross but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is still in very good condition so the mould could be used.
