A set of nine, late 19th century, copper canale moulds. These are for moulding the small sponge cakes, known as canale, which are very popular all over France. These moulds are all made from a heavy gauge of copper and they date from c.1890. They have probably come from a French patisserie. They are all in excellent condition and they all still have very good tinning, so they could be used. Each one is 4.5cm diameter by 4.5cm high.
