A set of 6, 19th century, French canale moulds. Canales are a small, French sponge cake which are still very popular all over France. I am told that they cook much better in copper but I have never made them myself. These moulds are all made from a substantial gauge of copper and they date from c.1890. Each one measures 4.6cm diameter by 4.5cm. high. They are all in excellent condition and the tinning is still in good, usable condition.
