A small, oval, Victorian copper mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams, above a pattern number ’649’. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a heart. The design is simple, consisting of twelve fluted columns. It dates from c.1880 and it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
