Butter Dish with Carved Wood Surround

A blue and white, transfer printed butter dish with a carved wooden surround. The pottery dish is marked “Royal Cauldon England Est 1774 MADE IN ENGLAND”. This mark was used by Cauldron Potteries, Staffordshire, between 1930 and 1950. This dates from the 1930’s. The surround is simply carved with “BUTTER”. Both the dish and surround are in very good condition.
