A super quality, large, Victorian copper mould. This is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. It is English and it is marked with a pattern number “209” but there is no manufacturers mark. The design consists of a rope twist border above the plain base and above this are eight angular columns which rise to a flat top. This is a great shape and would compliment any collection. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn so it could no longer be used unless it were re-tinned.
