An unusual, large, 19th century, oval copper mould with a rope twist design to the top. This is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams. It is English and it dates from c.1860. The plan side is nicely engraved with a letter “S” which would be the initial of a previous owner. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
