7 Inch English Copper Saucepan

7 Inch English Copper Saucepan

Code: F18648

SOLD

A good quality, English copper saucepan and cover. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams to the base and there is also the remains of a workman’s mark in the form of a square divided into four sections. The pan is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, triangular form of steel handles to both the pan and cover and it dates from c.1870. There is an imperfection in the copper, to the base of the pan, and this can be seen in one of the images. Otherwise it is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.

Dimensions: Diameter of pan 18cm. Depth of pan 11.5cm. Overall length of pan and handle 35.2cm.
