Bird shaped ice cleaver

A super quality, steel ice or sugar cleaver in the shape of a bird. The steel blade of this cleaver is really well formed as a pigeon and it dates from c.1930.  The handle is well made, from a combination of a dark wood and brass and there is a copper rivet as an eye. The piece is is in excellent condition, with just very slight pitting to the blade.
