19th Century, Steel Herb Chopper

A nineteenth century, steel herb or vegetable chopper with a brass handle. This is English and dates from c.1860. The steel blade is attractively shaped and this is attached to a substantial, cylindrical brass handle which sits well in the hand. There is pitting to the steel, from age and use, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
