A good quality, early 19th century, two part butter mould for moulding a three dimensional swan. This is really well carved, with fabulous depth and definition. The wooden pegs, in opposite corners, hold the mould together when in use. Early examples of this type of mould are now quite difficult to find complete and this is a particularly good one.
