A large, Victorian, dairy bowl dating from c.1860. This bowl is turned in beechwood and it has turning lines, as decoration, to the underside. There is wear to the base of the inside of the bowl and there is some staining to the wood, probably from the milk. This all adds character to the piece. There are also a couple of worm holes, which have been  treated and are now filled with wax. The wood has an attractive golden patina and the bowl is in good, usable condition.
