A beechwood butter, ejector print carved with flowers. This print is very well carved with a design incorporating stylised flowers and foliage. The carving is very crisp and well detailed and the piece dates from c.1860. The outer cup was filled with butter, chilled, and the butter was pushed out or ejected. The result was a small pat of butter with the design on the top. It is in excellent condition and it could still be used.
