A 19th century, sycamore butter print carved with a flowers. The design of this butter print is quite primitive in style and the carving, which would originally have been quite deep, is now worn. This adds to the character of the piece which dates from c.1850. There are a few woodworm holes, which have now been treated and filled, but other than this the print is in good condition. The print and handle are carved from a single piece of wood and the wood has quite a pale coloured patina.
